How it’s worked out
- 1Subtract the old value from the new one, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100.
- 2A positive answer is an increase and a negative one is a decrease.
- 3Going up 25% and then down 25% doesn’t bring you back: 80 → 100 is +25%, but 100 → 80 is −20%.
